#LIFT partnerships

Lift D&G are working with a number of different agencies in our area and beyond.

Candy Cotton

We were lucky enough to secure the donations from Youth Beatz 2019.

The food is distributed throughout Dumfries not just Lochside.

The donations came from People who travelled to you the Youth Beatz Festival. We would like to thank the organisers for the opportunity to help our local people.

We work on projects with the the Stove Network, we have been involved with them for a number of years, at the minute we are working closely on Wild Goose Festival, and the ‘What We Do Now’ the D&G project within the national programme called Culture Collective, coordinated by Creative Scotland.

Wheatley Homes South

We work with with DGHP/Wheatley on the WWDN project, We also have land from them for our NANA park, as well as working with the local TARA and stronger voices meetings. Our events that are run in Glentrool are also supported with DGHP.

A Scottish charity made up of curious change-makers, who believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn and pursue their ambitions to the fullest.

We work on a number of projects with DGCouncil, we receive support from Derek Hextall. We have done litter-picks with the street scene team, when we do events they in turn support us with anything we need that we do not have access too. They also support us with our Shop the community exchange which is a council owned building.

Jericho Loch

We work with Jericho Loch by taking young people and families to the loch for an outdoor experience. They get to camp and fish for a weekend with positive male role models, some of which these young people do not have. It creates happy memories and gives essential life-skills.

The Willows/Social work

We support them with their clients through a referral system much the same as Social work. If they cannot source items for their clients they come to us. We help social work with their clients with providing food, basic needs, or items of clothing, this is also done on a referral system.

N.W.C.C (North West Community Campus)

We work with the Local schools but NWCC is the largest of our participation, We do lots of different projects with the school from Nursery to Secondary. We also have a small N.A.N.A park project within the nursery. We are also now supporting them with the young peoples breakfast club ran by our LYT (Lifts Youth Team)

In the last year we have partnered up with Robert Burns theatre with films for our groups and project work leading up to the wild goose festival.

Summerhill Community Centre

Summerhill Community centre is based in North West Dumfries, The group has worked closely with the community centre and we support each other with events and helping families in Northwest Dumfries.

The Midwives teams D&G

We provide the various midwives groups with goods from our shops, this can be baby clothes, to baby items such as cots and prams. It is a refferal system.

We work with Westsound Cash for Kids on an annual basis. Whether it is Easter, summer or Christmas they are fantastic with supporting us in helping our families and especially the kids in our community.
